Following the pre and post care for your tattooing is essential to help us both achieve the desired results
Please follow these important steps before your appointment:

-
If you are planning on a Lip Filler treatment we recommend allowing a recovery period at least 4 weeks between treatments to facilitate proper healing of the lips.
-
Keep your lips hydrated! In the seven days leading up to your appointment, make a habit of applying a nourishing lip balm throughout the day. Avoid vaseline, as it forms a barrier without providing nourishment.
-
Exfoliate your lips at least 24 hours before your appointment. Utilise a sugar scrub, a soft towel, or a toothbrush to eliminate any dead skin. The better the canvas, the better the results!
-
Prior to your Lip Blush treatment, we advise taking antiviral medication in the five days leading up to your appointment. The Herpes virus, which lies dormant in most individuals, could potentially be triggered during the procedure, particularly for those prone to cold sore outbreaks. You can purchase antiviral medication online using this link. Remember, two courses are necessary for both treatments.
-
If you opt against antiviral medication and subsequently experience a cold sore outbreak, please note that this may impact the outcome of your tattooing and you may need additional sessions which will be charegable.
-
On the day of your appointment, engage in lower-intensity exercise, as heightened heart rate can increase blood flow, affecting the procedure.
-
Similarly, it's advisable to steer clear of caffeine for the same reason or alcohol in the days prior.

Below you'll find everything you need to know for your aftercare:

-
During the healing phase, aim to keep the lips dry whenever possible. Opt for using a straw for drinking and steer clear of spicy foods that may provoke a reaction on the lips.
-
To maintain hydration, apply the aftercare cream regularly over the next 7-14 days, using a lip applicator or clean finger.
-
Expect the colour to appear more vibrant on the day of the procedure, gradually settling by up to 50% in value over the following week.
-
Bruising and swelling are common and typically subside within a few days. You can alleviate discomfort by applying an ice pack wrapped in a clean kitchen towel, if necessary.
-
In the event of bleeding or clear sebum discharge post-treatment, gently pat the lips with a damp cotton pad and blot dry with a tissue.
-
As the lips heal, some shedding of lip tissue may occur, typically around 5 days after treatment. Refrain from scratching, picking, or pulling the skin, allowing it to shed naturally.
-
Maintain cleanliness around the lip area, limiting product usage to the provided aftercare cream during the healing process to prevent infection.
-
A minimum of four weeks is required before any re-treatment, with at least two sessions necessary to refine and perfect both shape and color.
